Michael Matsunami
Michael K. Matsunami, O.D. obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University. Dr. Matsunami has held several significant positions throughout his career, including serving as a Contact Lens Instructor at Seattle Central Community College and working at Providence Elder Place, where he specialized in elder eye care. He has also been involved in clinical research as a Principal Clinical Investigator for contact lenses and solutions.
Dr. Matsunami has held various leadership roles, including serving as the President of the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) and as a board member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington. His professional interests involve a wide range of areas, including ocular disease management, contact lens innovations, and advancements in eye care technology.
Dr. Matsunami is also dedicated to giving back to the community. He is an active member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, the American Optometric Association (AOA), and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). He regularly volunteers at the Uplift NW Eye Clinic, providing eye care to the homeless and those in need.
